For enhanced waterproofing in diverse projects, combine it with an HDPE liner. Bentonite's water-reactive properties are remarkable: while calcium base bentonite expands to about three times its size, sodium base bentonite can adsorb five times its own weight in water, expanding to an impressive 15 to 17 times its original volume. The geotextile and nonwoven fabric intelligently lock the sodium base bentonite within the dual layers, providing protection, reinforcement, and a cohesive shear strength that enhances the overall performance of the GCL.
