Introducing our Geosynthetic Clay Liner (GCL), a revolutionary blend crafted with the highly expansive sodium base bentonite nestled between a specialized composite geotextile and a robust nonwoven fabric. This ingenious creation, achieved through advanced acupuncture or suture composite techniques, forms an impervious barrier designed to withstand water infiltration. With acupuncture, the GCL develops numerous micro-fiber pockets, ensuring that bentonite particles remain stationary, forming a dense, colloidal waterproof layer upon contact with water. This layer effectively halts water seepage, and when paired with an HDPE liner, it offers unrivaled waterproofing for diverse projects. Sodium base bentonite, renowned for its water expansion properties, can swell to 15-17 times its original volume, vastly outperforming the modest 3-fold expansion of calcium base bentonite. Locked securely between two geosynthetic layers, the sodium bentonite is fortified and protected, imparting exceptional shear strength to the GCL.
